I have started adding modern art to my Chinoiserie home - a combination I love. You will see some new additions in my One Room Challenge. If money were no object, I would love a piece by Elliott Puckette for my living room. Day three of no power and no air conditioning and another 100 degree day here in DC.

Oh! So sorry to hear that you are melting up there. My older kids took off to PA rather than stay with their Aunt in Bethesda w/ no power.
PS You are welcome to cool off at my house but its an hour away.
I agree, should you seek cooler territory? Be careful.
Lots of sympathy for your power problems from here in Brisbane(Australia). Hope it is rectified quickly.
