Begin the week with this beautiful Chinoiserie filled New York home by interior designer Markham Roberts featured in House Beautiful. I am especially drawn to his fearless use of pattern in this home.
I love this house! I remember when I saw it in House Beautiful and admired that bold use of color. I particularly love the banquette. Nice to see it again.
I grew up in Europe and Lake Forest, Illinois. After graduating from The Ferry Hall School, Bryn Mawr College, and George Washington University Law School, I practiced law in Washington, D.C. Now I am finally devoting my time to two of my great passions - interior design and Chinoiserie.

I've never really been a big fan of green, but I love the way it's used in this home. Very skillful.
